A name that needs no introduction, Cartier epitomises quality and timeless luxury. Their brand is renowned worldwide for its sophisticated jewellery and watch design, as well as impeccable craftsmanship. 

The Brief

For this project, Cartier wanted a presentation box with a sleeve that would embody their brand's elegance, and knew we would be up to the task. Our 20 year relationship with Cartier has seen us design countless invitations, presentation boxes and packaging for them. This commitment has made us expert brand guardians of this iconic brand, and able to produce pieces that slot right into their collection. 

The Process

The presentation box needed to provide a memorable unboxing experience that evokes anticipation and excitement. The design had to be classic and simple, yet exuding luxury and exclusivity.

We designed an outer sleeve using gold foiling with the Cartier name laser-cut into it. This created a striking yet clean and classic impression. The red box was made with the same materials used for Cartier's iconic jewellery boxes. This choice ensured consistency in both tactile and visual experiences, reinforcing the high standards associated with Cartier. Selecting the finest materials was crucial to achieving the desired premium feel and durability of this piece.

Our artisans meticulously assembled each component of the presentation box. The gold-foiled sleeve was designed to slide effortlessly, creating a sense of anticipation as the box is opened. This "closed invitation" design hints at the treasures within, building excitement and intrigue.

The Result

The combination of gold foiling, intricate laser cutting, and luxurious interior materials creates a piece that seamlessly aligns with Cartier’s brand identity. The box holds secrets waiting to be unveiled, much like the exquisite jewellery it contains. The anticipation and excitement evoked by the unboxing experience reflect the emotions inspired by Cartier's creations.
