Piaget Mediterranean Garden Invitation

The Client 

The client, Piaget, is a distinguished Swiss luxury watchmaker and jeweller. In 2015, Piaget unveiled the Mediterranean Garden collection, a high jewellery line, featuring intricate designs that evoke blooming roses and palm trees. To commemorate this launch, we created sophisticated invitations reflecting Piaget’s elegance.

The Brief 

These invitations were designed to mirror the elegance of our client’s new timepiece, a watch of exquisite beauty. Inspired by the watch’s design, we included palm trees into the invitation’s aesthetic. The colour palette, a symphony of deep blues, was brought to life through luxurious materials, accented by gold text and delicate palm leaf motifs. This fusion of elements created an invitation that was both a work of art and reflection of the watch itself. Every detail was carefully considered to ensure that the invitation would stand as a testament to the timepiece it represented. 

The Process

To bring this project to life, we selected Fedrigoni Siro, an Italian Paper stock known for its navy hue and superior quality. This premium paper was chosen not only for its exquisite colour but also for its ability to seamlessly complement the gold foil detailing on the invitation. The contrast between the deep blue paper and radiant gold foil created a harmonious interplay, drawing the eye to the invitation’s elegant typography and intricate details. The glossy foil overlaid on the matte navy surface added depth and dimension, allowing the invitation to be visually captivating from every angle. 

The Result

The palm leaf design was applied using a clear glossy foil, creating a subtle, yet equally striking effect. Instead of adding colour, this technique produced a shiny coating over the blue card, causing the palm leaves to appear as a reflective navy-on-navy detail. This added a layer of texture and depth without overpowering the design.
