Downey 2020 Love Peace Hope
This has been a difficult year for us all, forcing many to find new ways to survive, innovate and adapt to new realities.
The challenges faced, professionally and personally, have impacted us in many different levels. However, it is important not to lose hope! And this is how the idea for the Downey 2020 Christmas Card came to life: to brings some positive vibes, celebrate human connections, collaboration, family and friends.
In 2020 we saw people around the world coming together to help others and advocating for not only family and community members, but for people they have never met or known. We saw individuals raising funds for the NHS, companies donating protective equipment to those in need, and people taking the streets to demand justice. Despite facing an existential crisis, many has taken the time for self-reflection to cultivate good habits and improve themselves.
Setting new goals, new perspectives and focusing on the pursuits might have been difficult these past months amid the uncertainties, however we should always think of the possibilities!
As a small family business, we are grateful for all the support and opportunities. We have worked hard to adapt to the new norms and are proud to be able to continue our service through these tough times.
With our lively Christmas card, our aim was to brighten up the mood using the new, vibrant turquoise colour Keaykolour Atoll with the words "Love, Peace, Hope" indigo printed in colour, foiled and then embossed on the card front. To enhanced the look and feel of the card and the envelope flap, we added a subtle, blind embossed Downey logo then hand-lined the envelope with a bright Keaykolour Coral paper for an extra 'wow' effect. Once you open the card, our message printed onto a sparkly Peregrina Snow White sheet is revealed.
We really hope our simple yet powerful message resonates with you all and fills your heart with love and joy.
Wishing you all the best for the holidays, good health and prosperity for the New Year!
