The William Vintage Dinner
A few months ago we had the exciting opportunity to produce invitations for William Vintage and their annual showcase, featuring a range of their iconic dresses at the Claridge’s Hotel.
We produced a proposal of potential ideas and, following a meeting with William Vintage, it was decided that the project should be taken in a luxurious direction and with a focus on gold, which would be a running motif in both the invitations and the event itself.
It’s hard to beat the beauty of gold engraving, so we decided that this would be the best option for the wording on the front, which we would print onto a thick sheet of high quality Colorplan Pristine White.
We also suggested using a photograph showing a dress from their collection on the reverse. They supplied a fantastic image showing the detail in one of their dresses, which we printed onto the pearlescent Peregrina Majestic stock, bringing the colours to life whilst simultaneously creating an almost glistening quality.
Finally we added a middle sheet to create the aesthetically pleasing 1000gsm-plus thickness, then as a finishing touch, added gold flat edges to add that extra mark of elegance.
The element that completed the invitations however were the beautiful envelopes, which we engraved a gold ‘WV’ monogram onto and lined inside with a gold metallic paper.
Following this we also produced the menus and swing tickets, which also had to be of the highest quality. For a slight change in style, we foiled these rather than engraved, so that at the event they would be clearly visible at a distance by catching the metallic shining in the light, and then once again added the gold flat edges to solidify the unifying motif.
The complete set really did look beautiful and very much worthy of a brand as prestigious as William Vintage
